1. Tadoba Andhari tiger reserve (TATR) is located in Chandrapur district of Maharashtra state in India.

It is Maharashtra’s oldest and largest national park.

2. Ger or ‘Phag Yatra’

Indore district administration plans to nominate ‘Ger’, a traditional Holi procession, for UNESCO’s list of intangible cultural heritage.

3. Swamp wallaby, is a marsupial related to the kangaroo.

It is likely the only mammal pregnant and lactating all lifelong.

It typically conceives a new embryo days before delivering the new-born from its previous pregnancy.

Female wallabies and kangaroos have two uteri and two separate ovaries.

4.The Indian Ocean Commission is an intergovernmental organization that was created in 1982 at Port Louis, Mauritius and institutionalized in 1984 by the Victoria Agreement in Seychelles.

5. The COI is composed of five African Indian Ocean nations: Comoros, Madagascar, Mauritius, Reunion (an overseas region of France), and Seychelles.

The five islands share geographic proximity, historical and demographic relationships, natural resources and common development issues.

6. The Commission has four observers — China, EU, Malta and International Organisation of La Francophonie (OIF).

7. Vanilla Islands is an affiliation of the island nations Seychelles, Madagascar, Reunion, Mauritius, Comoros, and Mayotte in the Indian Ocean to form a new travel destination brand.

8. Kishori Health Cards is a scheme for all the Adolescent Girls (11-18 years) which is maintained by Anganwadi Centre (AWCs), under Ministry of Women and Child Development.

Its objective is to record the information about the weight, height and Body Mass Index (BMI).

9. Integrated Child Development Services (ICDS) Scheme

ICDS is one of the flagship initiatives of government of India that is being implemented in the state by Women and Child Development Department.

It seeks to provide young children with an integrated package of services such as supplementary nutrition, health care and pre-school education

10. (NAMC)

Recently, Ministry of AYUSH has developed ‘National Ayurveda Morbidity Codes (NAMC)’ for the classification of diseases.

1 .KIRAN Scheme

Department of Science and Technology (DST) has started several pioneering initiatives for promoting women in science.

2. Nari Shakti Puraskar (formerly Stree Shakti Puraskar), literally meaning “Woman Power Award”, is India’s highest civilian award for recognizing the achievements and contributions of women.

The awards are given away by the President of India every year on 8 March, International Women’s Day at Rashtrapati Bhavan in New Delhi.

3. Red panda, In India, it is found in Sikkim, western Arunachal Pradesh, Darjeeling district of West Bengal and parts of Meghalaya.

It is also the state animal of Sikkim.

Red pandas have been reported from 11 districts of Arunachal Pradesh, which is presumed to hold the largest red panda population in the country.

4.NASA Perseverance

NASA’s Mars rover for the 2020 mission is named as Perseverance.

Kyasanur Forest Disease (KFD)

Kyasanur forest disease (KFD) is a tick-borne viral haemorrhagic fever endemic to South India.

The disease is caused by a virus belonging to the family Flaviviridae, which also includes yellow fever and dengue fever, which are transmitted by monkeys.

A variety of animals are thought to be reservoir hosts for the disease, including porcupines, rats, squirrels, mice, and shrews.

2. Indian women’s team lost T20 world cup final against Australia in Melbourne.

3.On March 9, 2020 Andhra Pradesh (AP) ranked 1st in the country for overall implementation of POSHAN ( Prime Minister’s Overarching Scheme for Holistic Nourishment) Abhiyaan as per September 2019 progress report of NITI Aayog, “Transforming Nutrition in India: POSHAN Abhiyaan”.The 2nd anniversary of POSHAN Abhiyaan is recognized by celebrating Poshan Pakhwada from 8th-22nd March 2020.

4.Gujarat tops in domestic solar rooftop installations in 2020 .Maharashtra is the second state to top in the domestic solar rooftop installations list with installation of 5,513 systems on 2nd March 2020.

5. Centre constitutes Delimitation commission for J&K, Assam, Manipur, and Arunachal, chaired by former SC judge Ranjana Prakash Desai.
